What is your retirement dream?

Mine? Spending the summer and fall in Michigan and the winter through spring in Houston. I want to be able to travel to a few places I have always wanted to go…

…Vienna, Australia, Paris again.

And I want to pursue some things that I am passionate about…

…restoration, rescuing dogs, baking.

How about you? Do you have a retirement dream?

Now what about a plan?

Before I started working online, I checked out a retirement calculator. I wanted to know how I was doing and when I could possibly start living my life the way I wanted, not having to be tied to a job.

The news was bleak. Even retiring at 70, I only had enough money to last until 79.

YIKES.

What happens if I live into my 90’s, like my father? What will I live on? My Social Security payment might be about $1600 a month according to my latest statement. The house payment alone is $1500 for another 15 years. And what if my husband isn’t alive then.

How do I do all this on my own?

That is when I started looking for other business options to increase my income. I got a Residential Planning diploma from The Art Institute of Pittsburgh hoping to be able to work as a designer but all the jobs posted were for people with experience. I didn’t have that.

I don’t recall how I found online work but I think it was looking at jobs where you could work from home. There were a number of different things I tried.

So many didn’t work out.

Then I found out about affiliate marketing and a system that worked.

Here’s what I think a good system needs:

Proven Sales Funnels to use or model
Done For You Process or one to model
Simple To Use

And most importantly, ​​​​​​​a great support group to help mentor you through the process.

The number of people that are working in this business is incredible. AND the amount of support you receive to help you be successful is amazing. There are Facebook groups, coaches to start you out, mentors, webinars, training videos, masterminds and summits.

At a mastermind I recently watched, one speaker said that the only way you can fail at this business is to quit. Otherwise, you will be able to make money.
