Walt Disney, entrepreneur
Growing up I watched “Walt Disney’s Wonderful World of Disney” on Sunday nights…
…it was the highlight of my week to see this TV show! Who would have thought over 50 years later that I would emulate Walt Disney in changing my career!
Walt Disney always knew he wanted to be an illustrator but life situations took him down different roads before he achieved his dream.
After many trials, in 1929 he won an Oscar for the characters of Mickey and Minnie Mouse with their friends Pluto, Donald Duck and Goofy. Many full length animated films followed: Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs in 1937, Pinocchio and Fantasia in 1940, Bambi in 1942 to name just a few.
With an inquisitive mind, love of nature and the outdoors, and wanting to educate, Walt Disney developed entertaining programs for children. His vision of what he could do with animation, entertainment and education were groundbreaking.
What can we learn from Walt Disney?
Whatever routes you have taken, if you have a dream, a vision, if you know where you want to go…
…Find a way to get there!
Be inquisitive, educate yourself, be curious.
Let’s figure out a way to build our businesses and enjoy the journey to a new rewarding career!
