Returning to my Blog: back to the Journey

At the end of April, I decided I needed to totally revamp my web site. I had looked at a number of other internet marketers sites and realized that mine looked like it was designed by a grade-schooler. And that person was me.

Horrors!

The worst part was, I actually had someone look at it before I went live the first time and they thought it was fine. That was even more embarrassing. To think that someone who was coaching me wouldn’t be honest about something as important as my site. Luckily, I realized it and the next person I asked was honest.

Back to the drawing board I went and had the great fortune to have better advise from the next person who helped me. I now know how to build a web site, know a lot more about how they work, what is important for plug-ins, SEO, forms and the overall appearance.

What do you think? Do you like my new site? Does it navigate well? Does it have interesting subjects?

I will continue to update it and add to the guide and hopefully some new products too. It has been a long process (almost 5 months) but definitely worth it.

When I say that I can help guide people through the workings of this internet marketing world, I am not kidding! The things I am learning are amazing…

…and I wouldn’t change it for the world. It is exciting, adventurous, never boring! Of course there are the frustrations. Mostly wishing I hadn’t grown up in the late 60’s and 70’s. But there isn’t one day that goes by since I decided to working in online marketing that I have been unhappy.

That is the most important piece of this puzzle.

I needed to be happy. I needed to feel fulfilled. I needed to do something that I had control over and could call my own. I have always believed that whatever job you did, you needed to love it. You spend so many hours of your day working, that it never made sense to me to do something you didn’t like. So when I started to dislike my job, I knew I had to start looking for something else.

Changing careers is scary but often it is the most important thing you need to do in your life. I will spend a lot of time talking through these concepts: changing careers, being an entrepreneur, and navigating internet marketing.

Welcome to the journey!
